Course Overview

This course offers you the opportunity to experience a range of Art Practices with a focus on Contemporary Fine Art, offering the chance to develop a personal visual language through exploration and experimentation with processes, materials and ideas. The course will expose you to some of the most contemporary practices in Fine Art including digital multimedia and installation work and will provide opportunities for you to exhibit your work to the public.The course will support both intellectual and practical skills development in a stimulating and friendly environment , offering an introduction to the subject area via a mandatory core of learning as well as selected optional units. The course will encourage you to develop as a professional self- reflective individual who will be able to meet the demands of the creative industries sector. Throughout the course you will be required to reflect and evaluate your own personal and professional practice in the form of written submissions.This course requires independent study outside of the timetabled hours

Entry Requirements

UK Requirements

32 UCAS points at A-Level (must include Art or Art related subject) together with 4 GCSEs (Grade C or above) to include Art, Maths and English (Level 2 Essential Skills in Numeracy and Literacy will also be accepted); OR Level 3 Extended Diploma in Art and Design; Level 3 Art and Design Foundation Diploma; or equivalent Level 3 qualification.You will be required to present a portfolio of work demonstrating your suitability and aptitude for this course at interview. Minimum age for entry is normally 18, which may be waived in exceptional cases.
