Course Overview

Hair extensions are becoming part of mainstream hairdressing, with more and more clients wanting immediate, interchangeable looks. The aim of this Award is about creating a variety of styles using a variety of techniques for attaching hair extensions. The knowledge gained in this Award includes use of products and hair attachments,methods of attaching the added hair, by using bonded, plaited, sewing, taped wefts, micro ring or loop techniques and incorporating health and safety.

Entry Requirements

UK Requirements

Must hold NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Hairdressing or have prior industry experience.

Additional Information

Learners who successfully complete this qualification will have the opportunity to progress to further Level 3 vocational qualifications in hairdressing. It is anticipated that this qualification leads directly into employment. Material fee of approximately £100 also required for uniform and kit.
