Course Overview

ApprenticeshipsNI Level 3 is open to employees aged 16-24 or those about to take up permanent paid employment with a Northern Ireland-based company and be contracted to work a minimum of 21 hours per week (including 3 hours of class in College) with one employer. Students initially complete the Level 3 Certificate in Induction into Adult Social care and continue to the Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care. These work based qualifications allow students to work and study using their work role to support completion of the qualification. The course supports development of the knowledge and skills fundamental to the many diverse work roles within the Health and Social Care sector and is universally recognized by employers. Students will attend the College one day per week for a 3 hour class and will also receive the one to one support of an assessor to build their portfolio of evidence. Optional units are chosen from a wide range to support the student’s role within the work place.

UK Requirements

ApprenticeshipsNI Level 3 is open to employees aged 16-24 or those about to take up permanent paid employment with a Northern Ireland-based company and be contracted to work a minimum of 21 hours per week (including 3 hours of class in College) with one employer. If students do not have Level 2 Essential Skills in Numeracy and Literacy (or equivalent) this will be a mandatory element of the course.
