Course Overview

This course is equivalent to GCSEs and is designed as an introduction to the health and social care sector. External visits and visiting speakers will enable students to develop a deeper knowledge about this sector. Additional education in the area of visual awareness and sensory loss will be provided. Successful completion at the appropriate level enables students to apply for progression onto the Level 3 pathways such as Extended Diploma in Health & Social Care/Health Studies/Health Sciences.

Entry Requirements

UK Requirements

4 GCSEs Grade D-G or above Students who do not hold Level 2 qualifications in Literacy and Numeracy will be required to complete these during this course.

ROI Requirements

4 OLCs Grade O6 or above Students who do not hold NI Level 2 qualifications in Literacy and Numeracy will be required to complete these during this course.
