Course Overview

This course is aimed at individuals who have completed the NCFE level 1 course in photography, or equivalent course and who wish to further develop their understanding of photographic processes and photo imaging. Learners will build on their previous knowledge to improve camera skills and photoshop editing techniques - which will include a unit in studio photography. To be awarded the Level 2 certificate in Photography, Learners must achieve a minimum of 16 credits: 8 from the core units and a minimum of 8 from the optional units. A minimum of 3 Units will be studied.

Entry Requirements

UK Requirements

There are no specific recommended prior learning requirements for this qualification. However, learners may find it helpful if they’ve already achieved the NCFE L1 award in Photography or an equivalent L1 Photography qualification. This qualification is suitable for learners aged 16 on or before the 1st July 2023

Additional Information

The objectives of this qualification are to support learners to progress into employment in the industry or onto further qualifications at Level 3 in creative subjects including photography, Learners will produce portfolios to be exhibited in the Art & Design end of year creative show
