Course Overview

Fintech is an emerging industry within the economies of the UK and Ireland. It integrates financial services and technology to improve the user’s experience. The FinTech sector provides professional employment and globally recognised skills. This programme enables potential or existing employees to undertake a Foundation Degree qualification validated by Ulster University in 2.5 years of part time study.The course combined computing and business modules focusing on their application to the financial services industry. It is delivered as a day release programme one day each week with the other 4 days working with a Northern Irish employer. Employees also benefit from formal workplace and academic mentoring.This course is open to career-changers, school-leavers, recent graduates and mature learners in Northern Ireland, exploring a career in accounting through applied learning. It is also open to current employees with a Northern Ireland based company, moving into a new job role and who wish to upskill.

64 UCAS Tariff Points plus a minimum Grade C in GCSE Mathematics and Grade C in English

ROI Requirements

64 UCAS Points plus a Grade O3 in Maths and Grade 04 in English.

Work Placement

You will be employed within a company relevant to your chosen career to gain valuable industry experience. You can be an existing employee upskilling and moving to a new job role or a newly recruited employee taking up a permanent contract of employment.
