Course Overview

Designed for committed adult learners without formal qualifications, this course provides the opportunity to gain a recognised qualification which can be used to progress to university degree study, secure employment or change/ improve career opportunities. The proposed science programme will be student-centred and encourage self-confidence and development through a structured programme consisting of core modules including Core Scientific & Laboratory Skills, Mathematics and Fundamentals of Science leading on to optional modules which include Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Maths for Science Calculations.You will be required to provide evidence of a basic competence in written and oral communication in English and Numeracy skills, as well as demonstrating your motivation for and an ability to cope with the academic demands of the course.

Entry Requirements

UK Requirements

Students will be required to provide evidence of a basic competence in English and Mathematics and must be a minimum of 19 years of age on 1 July in year of entry and have been away from full-time education for at least two years.
