Course Overview

Designed for adults, the course will provide the opportunity to achieve an equivalence of 3 ‘A’ levels so that you can progress to higher level courses in further education or to university. Completing this course will enable you to apply for higher education courses with us or at University, in a range of subject areas which can be discussed with your course tutors. This qualification can also be helpful when seeking employment. Students without GCSE English or equivalent will be expected to undertake an Essential Skills Level 2 literacy qualification in conjunction with their Access course.

Entry Requirements

UK Requirements

Information meeting prior to admission. You must be at least 19 years of age on 1st July 2023. You must complete an application form and attend an information meeting. Students will also be asked to demonstrate a level of literacy and numeracy at interview. Students without GCSE English or equivalent will be expected to undertake an Essential Skills Level 2 literacy qualification in conjunction with their Access course.

The Combined Studies Access course allows you to select a pathway to take you into Higher Education or employment opportunities. Students must successfully complete Year 1 in order to proceed to Year 2.
